Milan is often overlooked by travelers heading to Italy for the “triangle” of Venice, Rome, and Florence – but Milan is a true destination in its own right and deserves any traveler’s time and attention! I made the mistake of only allotting 24 hours of a recent trip to Milan – but I’ll never do that again! Milan deserves a few days of your time, but if you do only happen to have 24 hours there are some main sites you absolutely cannot miss:
The Duomo Cathedral in the center of Milan – including its rooftop for atmospheric views of the entire city!
Sforza Castle and its unfinished Michaelangelo statue (psst: Jesus has 3 arms!)
The Navigli neighborhood for canal-walks and sunset drinks!
Leonardo Da Vinci’s “Last Supper” painting!
There is so so much to see in Milan! Read about how this city stole my heart and went above and beyond my wildest expectations!
