William’s Den at Easter

AD / We were invited to review William’s Den at Easter but all views and opinions are our own

This week we’ve hopped on down to William’s Den in North Cave, East Riding of Yorkshire, to take part in a selection of Easter-themed activities as well as burn off some energy in the indoor and outdoor play areas.

For those of you that haven’t been to William’s Den before, it is an adventure attraction. The ‘Den’ part is a huge indoor tree house with sand pits and a water feature underneath. You can make music, climb, slide and swing. It’s the stuff of childhood dreams! Outside, children can run wild, enjoy water and sand play, climb wooden structures, whizz on zip wires and spend hours building dens from scratch.  You can read our other review of William’s Den here.
The older two children in our party (ages 6 and 4) have been to William’s Den before so they raced off into the Den part and allowed us to take our time with the youngest member of the group aged just 2. As it was half term holidays it was busier than on our previous visit but there was still plenty of space to play.

Facilities at William’s Den are excellent with plenty of car parking, parent and child toilet cubicles, baby changing facilities and a fab coffee shop/restaurant called The Kitchen Table. The shop is also well stocked with a great range of gifts and products. If you want to bring a picnic there are plenty of picnic tables and benches to use outdoors.
After a good charge about in the Den we emptied the shoes of sand and headed out to take part in the Easter egg hunt.

Outside we found a crafting area set up in a teepee where the children designed their own Easter eggs and Easter cards before they racing off on the hunt. The two older children solved the clues and located the 6 brightly coloured eggs hidden outdoors. We finished off with playing with the Easter themed outdoor games. It was a lovely way to spend the day and the activities were ideal for our 4 and 6 year olds.
